The Cost of Being a Softball Player


College exposure camps are an opportunity for young girls to be seen by college coaches.  These camps are out of pocket costs for families and can vary in cost.  Camps can range from $100.00 to $500.00 


Playing competitive tournaments throughout California and the nation is must.  College coaches and scouts frequent these tournaments in search of their next recruit.  These tournaments can be very expensive and a family can spend an average of $1000.00 for the weekend. 


The cost of softball equipment can vary each season, but one thing is for sure, safe and quality equipment is a necessity.  Equipment costs can include gloves, cleats, bats, catcher's gear and socks.  For an average season, equipment costs can be in excess of $1000.00.
